Tyler Gray

Criminal Defense Attorney

With over 25 years of combined military and law enforcement experience, Tyler brings a rare, insider perspective to his representation of clients.

Tyler served 15 years in the United States Army in Long Range Reconnaissance as a Sniper. A decorated combat veteran, he earned the Combat Infantry Badge and numerous other qualifications including Airborne, Pathfinder, and Sniper. For 11 years, Tyler worked as a Deputy Sheriff in Jefferson County, gaining extensive experience as a patrol deputy, SWAT Sniper, Sniper Instructor, and detective in the Vice and Narcotics unit. This boots on the ground experience gives a significant advantage when analyzing material fact situations to determine the strength and weaknesses in a case — skills that directly benefit both his criminal defense and personal injury clients.

Tyler graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham after studying Criminal Justice, and with honors from the Birmingham School of Law with a 3.9gpa that ranked Tyler at the top of his class. Tyler served as Vice President of the Honor Society and as Captain of the Mock Trial Team.

Tyler’s approach to the practice of law is rooted in the belief that every person deserves strong, dedicated representation in all circumstances. Having spent his career serving those who cannot always protect themselves, he is committed to ensuring his clients receive fair treatment under the law.
