About Lyndsie
Lyndsie M. Turner is an experienced trial attorney who knows exactly how the government builds a case—because she used to build them herself. Before joining The People’s Defender, Lyndsie served as a prosecutor, gaining "behind the curtain" insight into how cases are investigated, charged, and litigated. This unique perspective allows her to anticipate prosecutorial strategies and dismantle them before they even reach the courtroom, giving her clients a massive advantage.
In addition to her work in the courtroom, Lyndsie previously served as the Director of a Child Advocacy Center. In this high-stakes leadership role, she coordinated with law enforcement, medical professionals, and victim advocates to navigate some of the most sensitive and complex legal matters in the state. This experience sharpened her ability to handle emotionally charged, high-pressure cases with the discipline and strategic judgment that only a veteran advocate possesses.
Lyndsie’s trial experience is extensive and spans the full spectrum of criminal law. She has successfully defended individuals against everything from DUIs and drug offenses to the most serious violent crimes, including Attempted Murder and Murder. She approaches every case with a methodical, "leave-no-stone-unturned" strategy, ensuring that her clients’ constitutional rights are shielded at every turn.
A native of Alabama, Lyndsie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Auburn University before receiving her Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law. Her deep understanding of human psychology provides her with a tactical advantage in jury selection and witness cross-examination, allowing her to read the courtroom and present a compelling narrative that resonates with a jury.
